20 Pictures that will make you want to visit Portugal this summer!

We are at the end of march and Portugal feels like summer already!

I’ve been in Sesimbra twice but never in Moorish Castle and Ribeiro do cavalo’s beach.

This is a wonderful get away destination if you wanna scape from the city.

The castle stands high above the beautiful town with unique views. It opens every day and it doesn’t have a fee entrance. It is an open area and dogs are allowed, or at least I didn’t see any signal and nobody told me I couldn’t be there with my dogs. 🙂

You can find a coffee shop at the entrance and a small church that inside is decorated with Portuguese tiles.

After we explored the Castle we headed to the beach.

It was such a great adventure since there is no a proper way to get there. So you will have to get into the mountains and find a few paths that people have made or marked so it is easier to get down the beach.

The paths are all rocky, be sure to bring comfortable shoes for the descent and of course be prepare with snacks and drinks because you won’t find anything but a beautiful beach there.

The best way to get there is renting a car since there is not a direct bus or train.

You can find plenty of restaurants and hotels in Sesimbra town, right in front of another small beach.

A great weekend away to enjoy the best of mother nature!
